Hello my name is Judi. I am a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Florida. I have been board certified as an adult psychiatric mental health clinical nurse specialist since 1990. I have worked in various psychiatric settings throughout my career including inpatient psychiatric units, psychiatric consultation in a large university medical center, psychiatric emergency department, family therapy in outpatient addiction treatment, and most recently outpatient psychiatric care. I completed my doctorate in nursing practice (DNP) in Rochester, NY, and then became an Associate Professor of Nursing at Florida Gulf Coast University.
My experience and licensure allows me to provide both psychotherapy and psychiatric medication management. I have been committed to providing quality mental health care throughout my career. My goal is to assist clients to reach their highest potential. I have expertise in working with individuals with mental health needs who also have complex medical conditions. I have extensive training and experience in the field of bereavement and grief. I recognize the importance of each person’s spiritual needs and honor each individual’s path. I have a true passion for music and love singing. Humor and play are a daily requirement for me. I practice meditation on a regular basis as I believe there are many positive benefits. I have an interest in various spiritual traditions and metaphysical understandings of our world. My husband and I have three wonderful grandchildren. We have the honor of caring for two retired racing greyhounds. I look forward to working with you in establishing new ways of thinking and management of your mental health needs.
