Hello, my name is Eglindina, and I’m a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern who specializes in sexual abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, crisis intervention, domestic violence, self-esteem, grief, resentment towards parents, shame, PTSD, and spiritual conflicts.
I have been working with all types of communities, such as first generations, teens, young adults, groups, families, incarcerated survivors, older adults, survivors of sexual abuse, immigrants, farmworkers, veterans, and much more. Throughout my professional career, I have worked within the non-profit sector in which I have practiced utilizing cognitive behavior therapy, exposure therapy, talk therapy, and narrative therapy. In my sessions, I incorporate numerous techniques of somatic, holistic approaches, guided imagery, and expressive arts activities. In addition, my counseling approach is person-centered, where we identify what is most important to you. My motto is to provide compassion and empathy to foster a safe and non-judgmental space for all my clients. I am a true believer that everyone is resilient within their own story. You are capable of adapting, growing, and strengthening your individuality. I commend you on deciding to take back control and power over your story. I’m honored that I will be there to assist you in this process of self-love and a healthy quality of life.
