I received an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in neuroscience and cognition from Florida Gulf Coast University. I have experience working with kids as young as four years old, teens, and adults. As a counselor, I have experience working with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, substance use, schizophrenia, bipolar I and II, PTSD, abuse, life adjustments, career dissatisfaction, school-related issues, relational issues, and autism. In my practice, I use an integrated approach, mainly using cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy, narrative therapy, and person-centered therapy. All the while, ensuring to provide trauma-informed care.
I have specific training in Gottman relationship counseling, as well as in psychological first aid.
My goal as a counselor is to help you on your mental health journey by creating a safe space and forming a strong collaborative relationship so that you can live your most authentic life and feel contentment both personally, and in your relationships.
