Hello! I am glad you’re here.
I am Lisa Perez, Ed.S., a Certified School Psychologist through the Florida Department of Education and a Licensed School Psychologist through the Florida Department of Health, as well as the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California. With 8 years of experience working with school-age children from Pre-K through 12th grade (ages 3 to 22) in Florida and California, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my practice.
I dedicated 5 years specifically to inner-city schools in Los Angeles, CA, and have since continued my work in the Central Florida area. My specialties include learning and attention challenges, giftedness, and mental health issues. In addition to my role as a school psychologist, I serve as a clinical educator and crisis coordinator, employing a comprehensive approach in my work.
My expertise includes comprehensive whole-child assessments in areas such as learning difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder, giftedness, executive functioning, ADHD, and emotional and behavioral challenges, including anxiety and depression. I excel in problem-solving and consultation, guiding students in implementing strategies while monitoring their progress and recognizing their strengths. I am passionate about helping students and parents navigate the complexities of the school and academic processes, demonstrating a strong commitment to advocating for the individual needs of each child.
As a dual practitioner working in both schools and private practice, I am uniquely positioned to consult with families on Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Section 504 Accommodation Plans, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive.
You’ve made an important first step toward understanding your child’s unique strengths and learning needs. I’m excited to help you navigate this journey!
