I am Lisa Perez, Ed.S., a Certified School Psychologist through the Florida Department of Education and a Licensed School Psychologist through the Florida Department of Health, as well as the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California. With 8 years of experience working with school-age children from Pre-K through 12th grade (ages 3 to 22) in Florida and California, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my practice.

How do you Conduct Online Psychoeducational Evaluations?
At Therapy Treatment Team, we conduct comprehensive online psychoeducational evaluations using research-based, standardized assessments. Our experienced school psychologist performs thorough record reviews and gathers social developmental histories to better understand each child’s needs.
How Do You Ensure Accuracy in Your Evaluations?
We utilize standardized assessments specifically adapted for digital use, ensuring both accuracy and reliability in our evaluations. Backed by research, these assessments provide valuable insights into students’ cognitive abilities, academic performance, and emotional well-being. Some of the instruments we use include the WISC-V, WIAT-4, and KTEA-3.
What Happens Before the Consultation
Before beginning the online psychoeducational evaluation process, we conduct an initial consultation to gather essential information. During this meeting, we will discuss the specific concerns you have regarding your child and what outcomes you hope to achieve. This is a critical step to ensure that we address all relevant issues effectively. In this consultation, our experienced school psychologist will review your child’s developmental and educational history, as well as any previous assessments. We’ll help determine which standardized assessments are most appropriate based on your child’s unique needs. Additionally, we will evaluate whether the assessment can be performed remotely, ensuring it is a seamless and comfortable experience for your child. This personalized approach allows us to tailor our services to maximize the effectiveness and relevance of the evaluations.
What do I need for Remote Testing?
Quick Checks for Remote Testing:
- Telepractice Environment & Equipment Computers and Connectivity: A computer with audio and video capability and stable internet connectivity is required. A web camera, microphone, and speakers or headphones are required. The examinee’s screen should be at least 9.7” measured diagonally.
- Audio: An over-the-head, two-ear, stereo headset with an attached boom microphone is recommended for the examinee. Headphones with a microphone may be used if a headset is not available.
- Audiovisual Distractions: As with any testing session, the examinee’s environment must be free from audio and visual distractions. If the examiner is unfamiliar with the examinee’s planned physical location, a visual tour of the intended testing room should be given during the initial virtual consultation meeting. The examiner can then provide a list of issues to address to transform the environment into one suitable for testing. For example, remove distracting items, silence all electronics, and close doors.
- Lighting: Good overhead and facial lighting should be established. Blinds or shades should be closed to reduce sun glare on faces and computer screens.
