My name is Yamelly Pena, and I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. As a bilingual therapist, I offer services in Spanish and English. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals and couples who struggle with various mental health challenges, such as depression, suicide attempts, eating disorders, self-esteem issues, anxiety, substance use, and relationship problems.
I understand that seeking help can be a difficult decision, and I want to assure you that I provide an empathetic and non-judgmental environment where you can open up your heart freely. My approach is based on Person-Centered Therapy, which means that the client’s autonomy is respected and honored. I also adhere to different therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Psychodrama, and Family Systems. By using these different techniques, I can tailor my approach to best suit the client’s needs.
I believe that every client’s uniqueness deserves a tailored approach based on their life experiences, worldview, spirituality, and needs. My philosophy is that learning to manage your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors can lead to meaningful and healthy relationships. I also believe that the best version of yourself is born each day, and I’m here to guide you on that journey.
In our sessions, we will work together to develop coping strategies and improve your overall well-being. My goal is to provide you with the tools to lead a fulfilling life and develop the skills necessary to overcome the challenges you may face. It’s important to remember that you are not alone in this process, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.
If you’re struggling with any mental health concerns or relationship problems, don’t hesitate to reach out for help. I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions, so you can choose the option that works best for you. Together, we can work towards a happier, healthier life.
Remember, each day is an opportunity to become the best version of yourself.
